Your Wedding Day Investment

There is a lot more than just price that goes into your wedding photography investment. Editing style, communication, flexibility and knowledge about area landmarks are incredibly important elements of a wedding day that can make a huge difference in how your wedding photos turn out.

A working photojournalist
I arrived in northern Minnesota in 2007 as a photojournalist for the Duluth News Tribune and since departing the paper have continued working with regional and national publications. Today, you can often find me working with Minnesota Public Radio reporters around northern Minnesota on topics ranging from algae blooms in Lake Superior to the battle against COVID-19.

This experience as a photojournalist is the foundation of my entire approach to wedding photography. From portraits and tiny moments to the action and emotions of the day, I work to produce a complete story of your wedding day.

Editing Style
Every couple that I work with receives edited, high-resolution files with the rights to print. That’s incredibly valuable, but it’s good to know what happens to those files before they are delivered to you.

You won’t find me using any crazy filters with blown out highlights, green color casts or incredibly warm tones. True to my photojournalistic style, your files will be reflections of how the day looked. It’s our belief that this editing style will best stand the test of time instead of trendy filters that often look outdated not long after they became popular.

Northern Minnesota knowledge
Having documented weddings from Duluth to the end of the Gunflint Trail, my experience in the wilderness and cities of northern Minnesota is extensive. For people unfamiliar with the venues and parks up here, I can offer a wide variety of options for everything from urban environments to locations by the lake and in the woods.

Pricing
Our base wedding package starts at $2995 plus tax and includes eight hours of wedding day coverage, an engagement session, at least $100 worth of prints, the rights to make your own prints and an online proofing and ordering gallery. Other packages include a second photographer, fine art wedding albums and more.

There is no cost to travel to weddings in Lutsen, Giant’s Ridge and many places in the metro. However, if an overnight stay is required, travel fees may apply.

Looking for an elopement package?

Elopements are here to stay and we have something for couples who want fantastic wedding photography, but don’t need a full eight hours of coverage. In this case, our pricing is simple: $400/hour plus tax, which will get you edited, high-resolution images with the rights to print.
