One week out from Suzanna and Ray’s wedding, the forecast called for rain.  Four days out, rain. The day before? Rain.  It was supposed to rain ALL day Saturday, but Saturday came and the rain held off until the late afternoon and even took a break long enough so we could sneak in a few photos outside before they took off on their first trip as a married couple.

Along the way, groomsmen Alex, the cardboard cutout, was hard to pin down as we would periodically find him off in the woods, up in a tree or looking over everyone’s shoulder at the reception.  Alex is in the Army and deployed overseas and would have been a groomsmen, but was unable to make it back.  I love, love, loved the cardboard cutout idea and I’m sure he will appreciate that he was there in cardboard form.

Congrats Suzanna and Ray!

It’s refreshing to see weddings done with love and creativity rather than over-the-top ridiculously priced weddings where you leave saying “wow they coulda had a house for all that.” The photography was great. I like how the blue kept popping. Loved the cake and refreshment table. Birds nest with eggs and rings chirpaaazing!
